Dress Code

our dress code was carefully DEVELOPED to reflect the traditions of the game and the Club’s history.

In order to preserve the special atmosphere at the Club, we believe it is important to maintain standards. Course and Clubhouse dress code applies equally to members, their guests, and visitors to the Club for golfing, social or business events. We would kindly request that this dress code is respected to avoid embarrassment.


On the Course

Acceptable:
  • Suitable golf clothing and golf shoes
  • Shirts / Tops with collars (Gentlemen’s shirts to have sleeves and to be tucked into trousers /shorts)
  • Tailored shorts or skirts
  • Knee length socks, white ankle socks or white trainer socks.
  • Golf hats worn in a conventional manner
Not Acceptable:
  • Denim jeans, cargo, combat or hiking trousers
  • Rugby, football or T-shirts, tracksuits
  • Trainers or flip-flops
  • Shirts without collars
  • Non-Tailored cargo or beach shorts

Please utilise the changing facilities to change into golfing footwear, rather than the car park or terrace.

In and around the Clubhouse

  • “Smart casual” clothing
  • Business or lounge suits
Not Acceptable:
  • Blue denim, ripped, frayed, distressed or baggy jeans
  • Jogging or leisure wear
  • Cargo or hiking trousers
  • Rugby, football or T-shirts, tracksuits.
  • Cargo or beach shorts
  • Trainers or beach flip-flops
  • Waterproofs, hats or caps
  • Golf Shoes (with the exception of the locker rooms, Entrance Hall, the Spike Bar and the Members’ Lounge)
  • Wet or dirty clothing and outdoor clothing should be removed before you use the Bar, Dining Room, or Lounges (other than the Spike Bar).

Some events (for members and/or visitors) may have a specific dress code which will be communicated to the event organiser. For men, the dress code at lunch or dinner following a Club fixture is jacket and Club tie unless the Captain indicates otherwise.
